So... yes, this is out of season... but nana-nana.net is having a holiday contest in honour of NANA day (7/7/07)... the rule is to make a card for any holiday, involving NANA characters... with the dimensions 4 by 7.

i wanted to make a New Year's card so i could dress up nana and hachi in cute kimono. and since they are in traditional japanese dress, what better way to draw them than in the style of old japanese woodblocks?

i followed the suggestions of the wonderful :iconapricot8585:, who i admire so much. she explains on her journal how to make a woodblock-style drawing, and how to make kimono patterns. i hope that she does not mind ><.

wish me luck in the contest! there are lots of cute entries!
